The races will consist of at least 2  events ie Time Trial, handicaped race

There are 6 races and points will be given for each race and accumulated to final race on 21.07.13 Go ride races are fun races for children who do not have any British Cycling Points. Races will be entered based on age on day. U8's   U10's U12's and 12 and over. The 2 races held at Richard Dunn's will be instead of the normal Kids Saturday Bike Club.

Club Time Trials

The club time trials start this year on Tuesday 21st May 2013. The first up is club 10 meet in car park at Ben Rhydding Social Club in Ilkely ready to start at 7.30.  You can pay for each event on the day or pay for whole series £20.00.

Mountainbike Race:

With the usual glorious weather on the top of Penistone Hill, near Howarth, another succesful event was held. Many thanks to all who helped set up, marshal, and compete as well as a special mention to the Howarth West End Cricket Club for opening up specially to cook us the best bacon and sausage butties ever.

Circuit Race:

Again another succesful event was held at Richard Dunn and again many thanks to all those who helped put on the event as well as to all the kids who raced. Thanks also to Amelia for keeping the refreshments going throughout. A little bit of rain didn't dampen the proceedings with some fine racing to be seen.

EBCC Go Ride Race Programme and Cyclefest at Saltaire

A busy Saturday coming up with our first Go Ride Race at Richard Dunn followed by Cyclefest in Roberts Park with lots of things to do, perfect after a morning racing..

Go Ride racing is for those who want to try racing and don't have any National points so is a great introduction to racing. 

As the circuit will be used for the races, there will be no road training on the 25th May.

Saturday 11th May

Club will be running as normal in the morning 10:30 till 12:30. BSCA circuit races will follow, signing on from 12:30 1st race at 13:30. I will be keeping refreshments available during the event between watching my children race. There will be plenty of cold drinks, crisps & bars available. Hot drinks whilst the hot water lasts.

Attention - Change to club policy - Please read

We have recently reviewed our club policy on leaving children unattended. The changes we will be implementing are as follows No child under the age of 12 will be permitted to be left unattended under any circumstances. Children aged 12 and above may be left unattended at the coaches discretion, an additional parental consent form will need to be filled out and renewed yearly along with subs. Please always check with a coach or volunteer before leaving a young person (over 12s only).

BSCA National and Yorkshire Regional Roller Championships 2012/13 Update

The BSCA National and Yorkshire Regional Roller Championships 2012/13 were held at Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford. Organised at short notice due to the unfortunate previous cancellation of the event due to low numbers, East Bradford CC and Ilkley CC pooled their competition rollers and volunteer resources and held a very succesful event for 44 competitors from around the country.

Many thanks to all those who helped make this event a great success and thanks to staff at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre for all their support.
