EBCC at Bradford Sky Ride and details of next Velodrome Session

Bradford Sky Ride

On Sunday 28th September, EBCC are running our roller stall at Lister Park as part of the above event from 10.00 until 3.30pm. Sir Chris Hoy is visiting our stall at approx 12.45 for a photo shoot with our club members and an interview with Joe Parker. We want as many EBCC members to come as possible, in club kit if you have it or in a yellow, red or blue T-Shirt. Helen will be at club on Saturday with our remaining kit. The latest order is due in a couple of weeks.

Cluster Velodrome Session

There is another session at the Manchester velodrome for first claim East Bradford riders aged 9 to 16 to ride the velodrome in a training session suitable for beginners, intermediate riders and advanced and up as long as you are not accredited to ridethe velodrome already.

The cost is £12 and you will use track bikes which can be booked by contacting Rob Mace whose e-mail address in on the link below. Shoes are also available to hire at an additional small charge and can be booked direct from the cycling centre.

You need a helmet, gloves and will need to wear a short sleeve top under your cycling shirt and shorts, and take plenty of drinks and snacks.

The cluster's aim is to aid riders to gain the skills needed for accreditation and also to set them on the path to start track racing.

Please note that the time of the session is 12-3 but you need to arrive about an hour before to sort out the bike etc.

Please find attached below a link to the next Yorkshire track cluster session on the 16th November. Online entry will open on the 30th September.

Thank you & good luck Caitlin from everyone at EBCC & KSBC

Caitlin was just 6 when she joined EBCC at our kids Saturday bike club. Many of our longer serving volunteers have watched her grow and prosper into a lovely young lady. Caitlin joined our team of volunteers as a young volunteer, she later did the level 1 British cycling coaching award and started coaching the young children herself. We all really appreciate the time, help and commitment that you have given to EBCC & KSBC. Good luck at university!
